The Riverbottom Ramblers will be playing 5-7pm on June 21st, and also August 3rd, 2 to 4 p.m. for Celebrate Tipton Days.

A new venue - May 12th

We are excited to be asked to perform for a new venue - the Wapsi Wine Cellar located at 111 1st Street East in Independence.  They also have a facebook page.  We are looking forward to bringing some bluegrass music to Independence (as well as to taste some good wines!)  We'll be performing from 5 to 8 p.m.  Check our "Performances" link on the right to see more upcoming gigs.

After the gig:  We had a wonderful time performing the Wapsi Wine Cellar - great people! It is located in a picturesque old building just over the bridge on the Wapsi River in downtown Independence. The front part of the store is full of antiques with the back half a charming wine bar. I loved their red-painted floors.  The deck looks out to the Wapsi River. They have wines from lots of Iowa wineries. Give them a visit when you are in Independence!

Update on April 29 at Sutliff Cider

Bobby Geiger, mandolin, and Rick Caryl, fiddle, will be joining Ramblers Dean, Don and Barb this coming Sunday from 3-5:30 at Sutliff Cider Company.  It will be a hoot!  Bobby has magical flying fingers and sorta dances when he plays - and we LOVE it when Rick sings - bluesy bluegrass - nobody like him!   Hope to see you there!

After the gig .... We had a great time and it sure felt good to see our Monticello friends, some of Bobby's family, Fred and Velda, and our good friends from church, Bob, Marilyn and Dave in the crowd.  I love Sutliff Cider.  If you haven't been there, go - great place.  We got to try out Scott's new sound system too!  Thanks so much to Bobby and Rick for sitting in with us - it was a blast!
